Between the captions
My name is Emmanuel, and for 25 years,
I have helped other people's stories travel.

Subtitling films, series and late-night shows,
interpreting at festivals like Cannes,
and teaching cultural translation in London and Paris.

Most of that work happens between the captions.
Tone, rhythm, the small shifts that decide
whether something lands or misses.

Jules+Jim, and after
In France, I ran a film club
called Jules+Jim for five years.

We'd screen Truffaut on a Thursday night to 80 people,
sometimes 400 for a Vinterberg film.

After the lights came up, I'd host soirées
for people who wanted to go deeper.
They would come back, happy to see each other again.

PARTANT is the same architecture,
applied to cities instead of cinema.
